What’s the Chinese Term for Aппара́тчик?

Law firms in the People’s Republic of China are about to get them.  In addition to two new Rule by Law directives that prohibit PRC lawyers from criticizing the government on the one hand and that require PRC lawyers to overtly support the Chinese Communist Party on the other, these law firms are required to accept into their organizations

establishment[s] of Communist Party branches[.]

To ensure proper behavior.

Furious Agents

Recall the latest revelation concerning the FBI’s pseudo-investigation of now-Democratic Party Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton; her unsecured private email servers; her unsecured emails, including those two thousand classified emails and emails with classified data in them (which rendered them classified, also, even though markings were absent); and her and her staff’s destruction of thousands of emails that were under subpoena at the time of their destruction.

This latest revelation is the payment by a Clinton acolyte, Governor Terry McAuliffe (D, VA), through his PAC, of nearly $470 thousand and the payment by the Virginia Democratic Party of another nearly $210 thousand to then-Virginia Democratic Party Senatorial candidate Dr Jill McCabe to support her candidacy.  McCabe is the wife of Andrew McCabe, the FBI official in charge of the FBI’s alleged investigation of Clinton.

Judge Andrew Napolitano now is saying that

There are probably 100 FBI agents who worked on the investigation of Mrs. Clinton—hardworking men and women in field who gathered evidence and interviewed witnesses—…and are furious at the decision not to prosecute her[.]

Apparently, they’re not all that angry.  None of them—not a single one—has resigned over the matter.

Free Speech, Again

A New Jersey high school has come under fire after holding a ceremony honoring law enforcement, military and first responders before a football game Friday night.

And

It featured State Police Pipes and Drums of the Blue and Gold, state and local mounted units, personnel from all of the branches of the military and officers from several local offices. It also honored a Linden police officer who was wounded in a shootout with Ahmad Khan Rahimi, who is accused of planting IEDs in Seaside Park, Elizabeth and New York City[.]

So far, so good, you might think.

“It’s OK to stand up for social justice, inequality, and reform,” [Middletown Deputy Police Chief Stephen] Dollinger told the [Asbury Park Press]. “It’s another thing to not stand up for the national anthem.”

Uh oh.  That’s not allowed.  It’s OK to protest.  It’s not OK to protest the protesters or the protest methods.  No, the Left insists we just shut up about that.  The ACLU, the Central Jersey Chapter of National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives, and the Greater Long Branch NAACP all objected to such impertinence in a letter to the high school.

According to press reports, however, the event is being used to intimidate and ostracize people who express their views about systemic racism and social just.

Law enforcement officers are sworn to protect the constitution, and it is a disservice to the students and players that an event that should focus on them, their families, and their communities is being used to send a message that people who express concerns about disparities in the criminal justice system are unwelcome, disloyal or unpatriotic.

And

One ACLU organizer, Jasmine Crenshaw, believes the event sent a “frightening message….”

Sure.  It’s frightening—to the Left, anyway—that people not under the Left’s control would speak freely.

A Reminder

A short time ago, as such things are measured, Osama bin Laden said this:

America is a great power possessed of tremendous military might and a wide-ranging economy, but all this is built on an unstable foundation which can be targeted with special attention to obvious weak spots.  If America is hit in one hundredth of those weak spots, God willing, it will stumble, wither away, and relinquish world leadership.

A bit earlier than that, Abraham Lincoln said this:

At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected?  I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us.  It cannot come from abroad.  If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher.  As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide.

And now we have Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

First, North Carolina

Now, Indiana.

The Delaware County Republican Party said vandals struck at their office last week.

Someone threw two landscaping bricks through a window on Oct 8. Signs for Donald Trump and Todd Young were hanging on the window at the time, according to the group’s Facebook page.

Is there any doubt about how the Left deals with those who disagree with them?  Sure, local North Carolina Democrats helped pay for repairs to that damage, but they’re not in government.  Not yet.  Indiana?
