Old, and Confusing

From Fox News comes this bit:

“Despite all the challenges that we face in this new century, what they offered over those three days was, more often than not, an agenda that was better suited for the last century,” Obama said of Romney and the Republican convention….

From The Wall Street Journal comes this [emphasis in the original]:

With just two months before Election Day, Mr. Obama is trying to cast his Republican rival, Mitt Romney, as a politician with archaic policy ideas that would set the country on a regressive path.

Sure.  Our founding ideals of limited government that doesn’t interfere with our endeavors, self-reliance, personal responsibility, “showing the best that is in [each of us]” are confusing because they’re more than a hundred years old.
