Progressive-Democrats are nakedly trying to intimidate the Supreme Court to get their own way—and they’ve made their threat overt, in an Amici Curiae brief filed with the Supreme Court concerning New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc v City of New York, which is a case involving New York City’s ban on transporting “licensed, locked and unloaded handgun[s] to a home or shooting range outside city limits.”

Senators Sheldon Whitehouse (D, RI), Richard Blumenthal (D, CT), Mazie Hirono (D, HI), Richard Durbin (D, IL), and Kirsten Gillibrand (D, NY) made their threat thusly:

The Supreme Court is not well. And the people know it. Perhaps the Court can heal itself before the public demands it be “restructured in order to reduce the influence of politics.” Particularly on the urgent issue of gun control, a nation desperately needs it to heal.

The threat to the Court’s safety, its independence, couldn’t be more clear.  Never mind that the influence of politics is made manifest by this threat.

We can’t afford this in our government. At any level.

White Supremacy

Senator and Progressive-Democratic Party Presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren (D, MA) and Progressive-Democratic Party Presidential candidate Robert Francis O’Rourke say President Donald Trump is a white supremacist. Since this comes on the heels of Progressive-Democrat Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D, NY) inviting “white supremacists” to come back, assuring them they’d be welcome, some comments on white supremacy are in order.

I’ll leave aside Warren’s shame of her own whiteness apparently being so great she masqueraded herself as Cherokee for years (while, just incidentally, profiting off that claim in her law and teaching career).

The Democratic Party is the party of slavery, and it opposed slavery’s abolition to the point of Civil War.

The Democratic Party was the party of no mixed-marriages—on pain of death—for centuries.

The Democratic Party has been the party of lynchings—a black man seeing a white woman or a black boy looking at one the wrong way was just one of many excuses Democrats used for stringing up black men and boys.

The Democratic Party has been the party of the KKK.

The Democratic Party has been the party of Jim Crow and of granting only secondary rights to blacks.

The Democratic Party has been the party of separate-but-equal accesses to everything from drinking fountains to bathrooms to bus seats to lunch counters.

It was the white supremacist and Democrat President Woodrow Wilson who re-segregated the Federal government after the Republicans had, however fitfully, integrated it in the years between the Civil War and Wilson’s accession to power.

That might seem like ancient history, but these wonders have continued their bigotry, if more perniciously, more insidiously:

The Democratic Party’s white supremacist George Wallace forced the Federal government to intervene to integrate his State’s schools.  The Progressive-Democratic Party’s Attorney General Eric Holder—black man that he is—sued Louisiana over its voucher school program, which facilitated black children’s escape from failing public schools to gain entry into better-performing voucher schools.  He kept those children trapped in those failing public schools because their departure would have unbalanced those schools.

The Progressive-Democratic Party is the party of gun control, which its direct ancestor, that Democratic Party, invented for the purpose of denying access to guns by blacks.

The Progressive-Democratic Party is the party that continues enthusiastically to push race- and gender-based affirmative action, also an invention of its predecessor. The Progressive-Democratic Party continues enthusiastically to push the associated general soft bigotry of low expectations.

The Progressive-Democratic Party is the party of 21st century segregation of identity politics.

Warren, O’Rourke (he of Irish extraction while campaigning on an Hispanic nickname), and Ocasio-Cortez would profit from some serious, objective introspection.

The nation will profit from sweeping Progressive-Democrats from government in 2020.

The Dangerous Mr Castro

Congressman Joaquin Castro (D, TX) still pretends he did nothing wrong in telling the world in general and us Americans in particular how to locate 44 of us when he doxed those 44 and called them racists because their politics were not his.  Castro still insists they deserved to be called out; all he was trying to do was identify despicable persons whose “contributions are fueling a campaign of hate.”

Here is a telephone message one of Castro’s minions, who answered his call to arms, left on the phone of one of those whose location information he so carefully, maliciously exposed. Play the recording, ugly as it is, but be careful where you play it; the recording does not contain gentle language.

But the danger is broader. Despicable and dangerous to us Americans as Castro’s doxing has been, this is typical of the Progressive-Democratic Party of which he is a part.

Unintended consequence? No, this is one of their deliberately sought-after consequences.  After all, if rhetoric is responsible for El Paso, as the Progressive-Democratic Party and its Presidential candidates insist so vociferously, so maliciously, so is Castro’s rhetoric—in spades.  And his rhetoric is directed.

Castro didn’t merely incite a general, violent attitude.  Castro, with his doxing, said, “here are 44 Americans of whom I disapprove.  Here is a person of whom I disapprove.  Here’s where you can find them, here’s where they work and for whom they work.  Names and addresses.  Go get them.”

And the Progressive-Democratic Party and its candidates whole-heartedly, loudly approve.  This is the real campaign of hate; this is the Left’s malevolence given concrete action.

Lies of Progressive-Democrats

Here’s another.  Recall Congressman Joaquin Castro’s (D, TX, and brother of Progressive-Democratic Party Presidential candidate Julian Castro) doxing of donors to a Trump campaign organization.

[T]he Texas congressman’s original tweet included a list of San Antonio residents who had donated large amounts to the Trump campaign, along with the names of their employers. …
“Sad to see so many San Antonians as 2019 maximum donors to Donald Trump,” Castro tweeted, along with the Twitter handles of several owners of local businesses who apparently donated to Trump. …
The list—titled “WHO’S FUNDING TRUMP?”—had 44 names of donors and their employers.

Now Castro is claiming the list was no problem at all.

[He] is not backing down from his tweet outing Trump donors in San Antonio, insisting they weren’t “targeted or harassed” and that it wasn’t a “call to action.”

And that’s Castro’s straight-up lie.  The exposure itself was a targeting move, and a call to action—a call to harass those 44 folks who’s only wrong-doing was their effrontery of disagreeing with Castro.  Castro knows this, and in his own words to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (D, CA), Castro is too cowardly or agreeable to Party to admit his misbehavior and to correct it.

I’ll add a couple more words: Castro’s behavior is typically dishonest.

Castro’s claim that the data he published were already publicly available? A cynically offered sophistry. He didn’t need to broaden the availability.  He chose to do so, though, for his carefully developed and executed purposes.

Lies of Progressive-Democrats

Here are some of the more despicable examples as Progressive-Democrats—including those running for President—look to politicize an El Paso tragedy for their personal political gain.

Washington state Governor and Progressive-Democratic Party Presidential candidate Jay Inslee:

The first order of business to reduce white nationalism is to eliminate white nationalism in our White House. The sentiments of fear and division, and outright racism, that this president has emboldened out to be sickening to anyone.

What’s sickening is Inslee’s active condonement, along with his confrere in Oregon’s governor’s mansion, of Antifa’s active violence against conservatives, indeed against anyone to the right of their Leftist extremism.  What’s sickening is Inslee’s manufacture of racist beefs where he knows none exist.

Small-town mayor and Progressive-Democratic Party Presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg:

The President of the United States is condoning white nationalism[.]

Made without a shred of evidence, even as Buttigieg gives eye-wash words to events in his own town—while enhancing “outrage” over a police shooting, playing up the fact of a white cop shooting a black man while ignoring the salient facts of a cop shooting a man and the facts surrounding the man’s behavior at the time.

Senator and Progressive-Democratic Party Presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar (D, MN):

I do think Trump’s rhetoric has fueled more hate in this country.

She ignores the fact that Trump’s rhetoric has only fueled the hatred of the Left and its Party as he has been unhesitant to call out, bluntly, the Progressive-Democratic Party politicians’ refusal (not failure) to perform, their knee-jerk obstructionism of anything not proposed by them.  Klobuchar also carefully ignores the racist and anti-Semitic rhetoric of her fellow politicians in the House—fellows like Ilhan Omar (D, MN), from her own State, yet; Ayanna Pressley (D, MA); Rashida Tlaib (D, MI); Alexendria Ocasio-Cortez (D, NY)—who routinely spew their race- and Jew-hatred, even calling Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D, CA) racist for disagreeing with them.

Progressive-Democratic Party Presidential candidate Robert Francis O’Rourke:

He [President Donald Trump] is a racist, and he stokes racism in this country. We’ve had a rise in hate crimes every single one of the last three years.

If Trump stokes racism, he’s an utter failure at it.

All of these august personages, along with many more of their Party, have dishonestly manufactured a race crime out of Trump’s calling out their icon, Elijah Cummings’ (D, MD) failure to deal, to even try to deal, with the terrible, inhumane conditions in Inner City Baltimore. They’ve gone so far as to claim it’s racist to criticize Cummings, to claim that saying no humans would want to live in a rat-infested environment is racist.  This kind of made-up charge, centered as it is on their manufactured racism is itself stinkingly racist.

All of these august personages, again along with many more of their Party, outright refused to decry Omar’s anti-Semitic remarks, passing instead a carefully saccharine resolution decrying rude talk and being mean.

This is the pernicious, dishonest—dare I say, evil—racism toward which we can look were this Party to retain majority in the House, gain it in the Senate, and place one of these racist candidates in the White House.
