Ground Troops to Fight ISIS

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan wants some. After all, he’s worried that Kobani, the Kurdish city just on the Syrian side of the Turkish border and surrounded by the ISIS terrorists, is about to fall, with all the butchery that will ensue. And with that part of the Turkish-Syrian border then opened up for ISIS’ unfettered use.

Erdogan added

You can’t end this terrorism just by airstrikes. If you don’t support them on the ground by cooperating with those who take up a ground operation, the airstrikes won’t do it.

You’re absolutely right on that score, Mr Erdogan. You’re also right there, with Kobani just over the border from your own army. For how many Divisions can we put you down? When will you be ready to go onto the attack?
