Progressive-Democratic Party politicians insist that illegal aliens should be allowed to go anywhere they want as they wait—months to years—for their court dates.

But they want travel documents on those Americans who are transporting them by bus.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy is demanding that nearly two dozen charter bus companies sending New York City-bound migrants to “transit” stops in the Garden State provide advance notice.

And this:

For each migrant bus, Murphy is asking the companies to disclose the number of single adults traveling alone; the number of passengers traveling as part of a family, including the number of families with children under 18; the number of children under 18; and the number of chaperones (other than family members) for otherwise unaccompanied minors.

Notice that. Murphy doesn’t care who these illegal aliens are so they can be tracked until the show up for their court date—or dishonestly don’t show up—he just wants to know how many they are. While demanding to know what bus companies are transporting them.

This is the Progressive-Democratic Party demonstrating its utter contempt for us ordinary Americans.

AMLO’s Extortion Attempt

Mexican President Andrés Manuel Lopez Obrador has made his demands clear concerning what he wants in return for helping the Biden administration do its job—which it doesn’t need help doing—regarding our border with Mexico. AMLO’s demands are naked extortion.

  • give $20 billion to Latin American and Caribbean countries
  • grant work visas to 10 million Hispanics who have worked in the US for at least 10 years
  • end sanctions against Venezuela and halt the blockade of Cuba

No. Just close the border altogether. Let no illegal aliens in; forcing their remaining in Mexico. Also bar Mexican visitors and Mexican products.

This won’t happen, though, with Timid Joe Biden. And it’s shameful that the United States should be victimized by the extortion of a Third World nation run by drug cartels.

It’s all on the Federal Government?

Give us more Federal money, Denver’s Progressive-Democrat Mayor Mike Johnston and his Progressive-Democrat-run city counterparts are demanding.

Johnston previously warned that the border crisis will “crush city budgets around the country,” as he expects 10% of Denver’s entire budget to go toward aiding migrants.
“I have called the White House,” Johnston told [Fox News‘ America’s Newsroom] hosts Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino. “We’ve told them we need more federal aid. That’s why there’s dollars in that supplemental budget to do that.”

New York City’s Progressive-Democrat Mayor Eric Adams:

The federal government must take responsibility and lead on this humanitarian crisis[.]

Chicago’s Progressive-Democratic Mayor Brandon Johnson:

We need the federal government to lean in and provide more financial assistance. All of our cities have reached a point where we are either close to capacity, or nearly out of room.

Progressive-Democratic Party politicians, and their Leftist supporters at large, always demand more of other people’s money while accepting recognizing no responsibility of their own for the outcomes they’re facing.

It’s true enough that the Biden administration needs actually to defend our borders; working that successfully would go a long way to stem the flow into all of our nation’s cities, but especially into our border cities and towns. These are the places that are being truly overrun; those Leftist whiners aren’t getting but a taste of what Biden’s failure to perform is inflicting there.

Still, there’s much that these Party mayors can do on their own initiative, for the benefit of the cities over which they reign. It begins with those mayors recognizing that they (nor does our nation at large) do not have a problem with a flood of migrants. They have a problem with a flood of illegal aliens.

They then could proceed with stopping inviting these illegal aliens into their cities with open arms: they could stop being sanctuary cities for these illegal aliens.

Johnston then could stop burning 10% of his city’s budget on aiding his illegal aliens and instead commit that money to removing the illegals and getting them back out of our nation. That could well take up less than those 10%, also. His cronies in the other sanctuary cities could take similar action regarding their illegal aliens.

‘Course, that would reduce their opportunity to whine and take away an excuse for demanding more OPM.

The Washington Policy Center says that Washington’s Progressive-Democrat Governor Jay Inslee has known all along that his carbon tax would significantly increase gas prices in the State.

In a Thursday morning blog post, WPC Environmental Director Todd Myers notes that reports from Inslee’s 2014 Carbon Emissions Reduction Task Force, or CERT, showed a carbon tax could result in a significant hike in the price at the pump.
In fact, Inslee’s then-chief policy advisor Matt Steuerwalt, based on an analysis created for the task force, told the Senate Environment, Energy & Technology Committee that a carbon dioxide price of $52 per metric ton—almost identical to the state’s current carbon dioxide price—would increase prices by 44 cents per gallon.

Of course he’s known this all along. It’s why he pushed so hard for his carbon tax Climate Commitment Act. He’s trying to price hydrocarbon-based energy out of existence in his State.

Arrogance of the Left

This time it’s the arrogance of Liz Cheney, the Leftist politician nominally of the Republican Party but resoundingly rejected by Republican voters. Here’s Cheney admonishing New Hampshire Republicans ahead of the upcoming Presidential primary there:

In a little over two weeks when you in New Hampshire go to the polls the world will be watching.
Speak for us all. Tell the world who we are with your vote. Tell them that we are a good and a great nation. But make sure they know that we do not bend, we do not break, and we do not yield in the defense of our freedom. Show the world that we will defeat the plague of cowardice sweeping through the Republican Party.

Because Republicans who disagree with her Specialness are, perforce, cowards.

Sure.

There’s a reason Republicans in her own State rejected her.
